Eagle Springs provides a six day recreational experience for adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities all summer. The Camp also offers weekend breaks throughout the spring and fall seasons. The Eagle Springs Programs for developmentally disabled adults originated in 1975 with a summer vacation program for 100 adults at our beautiful 150 acre recreational camp ground in the mountains near Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, 100 miles northwest of Philadelphia. Spring and Fall weekend programs are also offered. In recent years, over 1000 adults from private homes, group homes, and State run centers in 10 Pennsylvania counties have participated in the Eagle Springs vacation Programs each year. The main goal of the Eagle Springs Programs is for vacationers to have fun doing all things that people do when they go on an vacation. In the mountains, outdoor activities include swimming, hiking, fishing and horseback riding; there are creative arts activities in music, arts and crafts and drama; barbecues, campfires and social dances are part of the evening programs.
