UREKAMP! wants you! One of Edmonton's newest and most innovative summer day camps, the U of A's EUREKAMP! is a campus-based children's event designed and operated by a talented team of researchers, experienced educators, and enthusiastic volunteers. Programmed to challenge you to think in new and exciting ways, EUREKAMP! uses an inquiry-based approach to engage curious children in an exploration of the questions that interest them. Continue reading for details: What? EUREKAMP! combines subjects as diverse as drama, math, music, chemistry, art, and ecology to present campers with experiences they cannot help but be curious about. Why? EUREKAMP! is all about asking why (we're glad you asked it!). We find that sharing our curiousity (always asking why?) in a community of inquiry builds confidence, empathy, and critical thinking skills. When? EUREKAMP! is a series of week-long sessions run July 4-8, 11-15, 18-22, and 5-29, from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. Two of our four programs (Wondering at the World, Ideas Safari, and Masterminds I & II) happen every week. Where? EUREKAMP! is situated in a fascinating world of ideas: the U of A's thriving north campus. Who? EUREKAMP! is targeted for children ages 7-13 with plenty of curiosity and lots of physical and mental energy to burn. How Much? EUREKAMP! sessions cost $199; $348 for two; or $149 each for three or more. Registrations submitted less than three weeks before your camp are $225. How do I register?
