GSI is a four-week theater training program for high-school students from Rhode Island and Southern New England, focused on performing and learning Shakespeare. It is for serious young actors looking to expand their skills in a professional setting, with high goals and expectation. Under the direction of Education Director, Susie Schutt, and Education and Outreach Coordinator, Kate Hanson, campers attend rigorous daily rehearsals, participate in workshops taught by working theatre professionals in various fields, and perform in two Shakespeare productions.
