Summer Camp...What Fun!! At Grand Oak you will make lasting memories and friendships while exploring the natural beauty that surrounds us at Grand Oak Ranch.

Our camp adjoins the Withlacoochee State Forest and is a short distance to multiple state parks, national parks and recreation areas. This summer you can enjoy yourself learning about the natural environment around us while having a ton of fun doing it. You will have the opportunity to chose your adventure each evening for the following day. Some of these adventures will include trips to the following places:

Weeki Wachi Springs State Park--Canoe or Kayak down the Weeki Wachi Springs crystal clear blue waters. The spring fed stream always flows fast enough so that you barely have to paddle. While enjoying the cool waters and scenery you will learn about the wonderful ecosystem that surrounds us on this trip. Truly a camp favorite.

Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park--A really Awesome and awe inspiring trip! The Devil's Millhopper is a bowl shaped cavity in the earth. The cavity is 120' deep and over 500' wide. It is a naturally occurring lime rock sink hole that has been visited by the curious since the early 1880's. We will hike to the bottom of the Millhopper to experience a miniature rain forest. Even when Florida experiences a drought or extreme heat this mini-ecosystem continues to thrive. A real wilderness adventure!

Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park-- A trip to Florida would not be complete without experiencing some of our natural wildlife. Homosassa Springs is a local favorite to observe many species including but never limited to: Barn Owls, Great Horned Owls, Florida Barred Owls, a multitude ofvarious song birds, wading birds, birds of prey, cougars, bobcats, alligators, manatee's and more! A day of adventures in the wild outdoors.

Ichetucknee Springs State Park--

Tubing at its best! Crystal clear, cool water perfect for a hot summer day! Lunch at the half-way point is always a hit. A day of lounging and learning as we float down the river.

Rails to Trails is a beautiful and scenic hike accessible from camp. Many use this path to bird watch, hike, mountain bike, jog and walk.

Florida Theme Park Day-- The Run-a-way favorite trip!! Each session will have the opportunity to visit one of Florida's many theme parks including: Universal, Disney and Busch Gardens. We are conveniently located an hour or less from all three. Each session will be a different park.
