Established in 1955, Harand Camp was one of the nation's first co-ed, residential camps to combine SINGING, DANCING, and ACTING with the FUN of traditional summer camp activities. Now located on the campus of Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Harand Camp continues to offer the best non-competitive musical theater training for campers ages 7 to 18. In addition to the theatre program, campers also enjoy sports and elective activities, cabin nights, excursions, and all-camp events. Campers may attend for 1, 3, or 6 weeks and enjoy delicious food and modern facilities overlooking Lake Michigan. Each session culminates in a large-scale performance for family, friends, and alumni in our 400-seat, state-of-the-art theater. At Harand Camp "No Man is an Island" and EVERYONE is a STAR!

Living: Upon arrival, our campers (ages 8 - 18) are divided into "cabins" by age and reside together in the dorms (2-3 per room).
Food: Meals are served three times a day in the dining hall which features many options, including a salad bar, and frozen yogurt.
Schedule: Campers spend half the day in theatre classes and the other half in activity classes of their own choosing. Evenings and Sundays include a rotating schedule of rehearsals, cabin nights, and all-camp events and games.
We adhere to a NON-COMPETITIVE philosophy where... It is our goal for ALL campers to both develop skills in the performing arts, and build self-confidence & self-esteem. In preparation for final performances, campers take daily classes in singing, dancing, and dramatics in the morning or afternoon. Occasional rehearsals are held in the evening (alternating with activities & events - sometimes off-campus!) Each session then culminates with a large-scale performance for friends, family, and alumni in our state-of-the-art theatre.
In addition to our theatre program, campers also enjoy three periods of elective classes and activities per day. We operate on an alternating schedule of A-Days (M, W, F) and B-Days (Tu, Th, Sa), so campers actually have SIX classes that are completely of their own choosing! Options may include...
Sports Classes: Soccer, Basketball, Swimming, Volleyball,Badminton, Cheerleading, Tennis, Fitness, Zumba
Theatre Electives: Technical Theatre, Costuming, Improv, Audition Coaching, Story Theatre, Hip Hop, Tap
Other Activities & Fine Arts: Photography, Film & Video, Arts & Crafts, Creative Writing, Board Games
When not rehearsing in the evening, our campers enjoy an exciting schedule of cabin nights and events, as well as all-camp competitions, concerts and excursions.
The cost of all activities is included in camper tuition, however families may want to contribute extra money to the individual camper "mini-bank" account for personal spending.
The activity schedule may include the following:
TALENT SHOW, CAMPFIRE, ACTION TERRITORY, BEACH DAY, SKATING, FAMILY FUED, HOBBY NIGHT, CARNIVAL, COSTUME BALL, KARAOKE, BOWLING, BANQUET DINNER...
