Warmup/Stretch – This class will be first every morning to get the kids warmed up and ready for the day ahead.
Skills & Progressions – This class is meant to work on technique and skills. We will work on both old and new skills in this class in the center and going across the floor.
Ballet – This class will be loosely based on our ballet curriculum. The kids will work on technique and exercises. They will be given a combination to perform at the end of the week.
Tap – The kids will work on their basic tap steps and exercises. They will have a great time making their own music and will ultimately learn a routine.
Jazz – This class will focus on style and we will learn a series of routines throughout the week to present on the last day. This will push the kids to find their own style while working on the art of learning and remembering routines.
Hip Hop– This class will introduce kids to hip hop touching on some of the many different styles and ultimately putting it all together in a routine.
Lyrical/Contemporary – This form of dance is extremely popular for its emotional quality. The kids will work on getting in touch with their inner emotions and projecting them through dance in a series of routines. At the end of the week they will be challenged to remember their routines and present them.
Musical Theater – The kids will enjoy moving and shaking to their favorite music while singing along. This is a great opportunity for them to perform and we will be making a craft to go along with our final performance!
Acro – This is a mix of dance and acrobatics. The kids will learn basic acro skills such as touching their toes and connecting those skills together. They will learn a quick routine to present at the end of the week.
Acting - This class will explore the art of theater and acting. The kids will be given a series of drama activities to spark their imagination as well as a script that they will work on and present on the final day of camp.
Yoga – This is a brief introduction to the world of yoga. The kids will learn basic positions in a sequence.
