Campers will enjoy riding 2x/day in level appropriate semi-private or group lessons that will focus on balance seat, dressage and jumping. Campers will not only improve their riding skills, but also their theoretical knowledge of equitation, dressage and jumping. Equestrian Arts institute will assign each camper with one or two horses that they will be responsible for throughout the week of camp. Responsibilities will be age appropriate, but will include feeding, grooming, keeping stall clean and any other care horse(s) may need. This is a great opportunity for campers to be immersed in the daily care of horses, learning about nutrition, anatomy, colors/markings, breeds, medical care, and routine veterinary and farrier needs. At the end of each week there will be a horse show for friends and family, as well as a “End of Camp” test given in a fun, game environment.
