Camp Lohikan is a summer camp known for its quality instruction and comprehensive adventure program.  At Lohikan campers 10 and older select all of the activities included in their daily activity schedule and can schedule the activities of their choice as often as they want.  Lohikan's Adventure Program includes:

ROCK CLIMBING: Rock Climbing is awesome at Camp Lohikan! We have climbs ranging from our beginner climbing wall to our 40’ climbing tower and from simple real rock faces to vertical rock faces – all on camp property! Beginners start out on our 20’ climbing wall maze. After getting “the hang of it”, climbers graduate to the 40’ tall climbing tower which offers 3 different levels of climbing difficulty. Advanced climbers are further challenged by our 40’ tall real rock climbing site - located right on the camp grounds! Nothing’s like real rock!!! A variety of climbing routes and difficulty are available at the site.

HIGH ROPES COURSE: High Ropes Challenges include: 2 Zip Lines (one off the 40’ tower), Giant Swing (40’), Jacob’s Ladder, Helicopter Rappel (off the tower), and the Burmese Bridge.

LOW ROPES CHALLENGE COURSE: You could spend all day at the challenge course and not complete every event! Stations include: The Trolley, Spiders Web, Cable Walk, Rebirth - Port Hole, Tension Traverse, Wild Woosey, All Aboard, Nitro Crossing, The Wall, Line Up, Track Walk, Cargo Net, and Leap Of Faith.

SURVIVAL PROGRAM: Survival Camp is a fun way to learn what you need to know to survive in the wild. Classes include: water procurement, food gathering techniques, survival cooking, fire making, shelter building, wilderness hygiene, survival games and initiatives, land navigation (utilizing compasses, topo maps and the sun, moon and stars), survival signaling, and first aid training.

DELAWARE RIVER CANOE & RAFTING TRIPS: We’re a short 13 miles drive to the Delaware River where even more aquatic adventures are available like canoe and rafting day-long trips and overnights!

SPY CAMP: Imagine you're a spy with a mission that could save the world! Imagine breaking codes, wearing a disguise, interrogating the enemy, combat on the paintball field, evasive driving on the quad track and a quick get-a-way on a jet ski! It's all part of SPY CAMP! And there's more!!! You'll receive training on the high ropes course, a quick course in martial arts and learn teamwork and critical thinking within the framework of the exciting field of espionage. Best of all... it's high octane FUN!

MORE ADVENTURES: We occupy over 1200 acres high in the Pocono Mountains! We’ve got miles of mountain biking trails, and special trails for horseback riding and atv-4 wheeling and backpacking. We have a private lake for canoeing, fishing and exploring. We have 5 outpost overnight sites and we’re surrounded by amazing nature which is filled with adventure! We even schedule horseback overnights!

Camp Lohikan has been owned and operated by the Buynak family since 1957. For over 60 years we have provided a safe, nurturing camp environment where children are cared for and  encouraged to try new things, learn new skills, make friends, and most of all have FUN!

Amazing things happen when kids are having the time of their lives. In our supportive camp community campers receive lots of positive reinforcement and come home after the camp with more independence, stronger self-confidence, and enhanced social skills. It’s an experience with benefits that last a lifetime!

What sets Camp Lohikan apart from other camps is our program and staff. Nowhere else will you find a summer program with more challenging, exciting activities than Lohikan. Campers get to choose from 65+ arts, sports, and adventure activities every day! And they’re surrounded by highly skilled staff members who enjoy working with children. At least 50% of Lohikan’s staff are experienced, returning staff members. Our key management staff have over 200 years of combined camp experience.

First-time campers receive special attention. Campers coming to Camp Lohikan for their first summer are assigned to senior staff members who monitor their needs and happiness on a daily basis. Our success with first-time campers is one of Lohikan’s hallmarks and we back it up with a Tuition Refund Guarantee!

If your plans allow, we encourage you to visit us during the summer to witness the spirit of Camp Lohikan first hand. If this is not possible, we provide tours of the camp during the off season for your convenience. We can also visit your home to answer questions you might have.
