MVA’s Step Up To Summer Day Camp is proud of its commitment to provide campers from 3 to 13 years of age with a sense of adventure, excitement and comprehensive experiences, which foster respect for the environment, health and well being of all people.

Certified teachers with diverse academic backgrounds provide a nurturing environment enabling the development of creative and fun filled lessons that focus on learning through fun, adventure and exploration.

 

Your child will love to learn through math games, creating personalized strategies and building mastery by focusing on building and maintaining basic Math skills.  Each child will have an individualized program developed based on his or her specific needs and interests.  Each day will have time set aside for “fun math” activities. STEP UP TO READING AND WRITING

 Step up to confidence, fluency, creativity and finding your voice.  Learn the secrets of grammar, spelling and creating a great piece of literature.  The overall philosophy of this camp is to give children a positive experience with reading and writing. This half day camp, in which decoding, comprehension and fluency are practiced, focuses on building and maintaining basic reading and writing skills. Reading and writing activities are given at each child’s ability level. Both reluctant and prolific readers and writers will find opportunity and challenge to develop skills. Step into a world of words!

HALF DAY CAMP AGE: 3 - 5

Your child will love playing games, creating crafts and exploring the outdoors at this half-day camp.

Children must be toilet-trained and able to follow directions.

FULL DAY CAMP AGE: 3 - 5

Children will enjoy arts and crafts, singing, outdoor activities and games. During the week, campers can look forward to one full-day field trip. Children must be toilet-trained and able to follow directions.

GAME CAMP AGE: 6 - 7

Campers have lots of fun with arts and crafts,  games, science, outdoor activities and computer time while exploring the outdoors, as well as, developing skills, learning and growing. During the week, full-day campers can also look forward to one full-day field trip.

CREATIVE ART CLUB AGE: 6 - 7

The Creative Art Option lets Discoverers express themselves! Campers are introduced to arts and crafts, music, dance and drama. Full-time campers will also be participating in games, computer time, singing, and outdoor adventures. During the week, they can look forward to one full-day field trip.

COOKING CLUB AGE: 6 - 7

Discover the joy of cooking. Let your child express themselves through food selection and preparation, nutrition and cooking. They will learn and create using quick, easy recipes. The best part is they get to eat what they make! Full-time campers will also participate in activities such as arts and crafts, games, drama, gym time, singing, and outdoor adventures. During the week, camper’s can look forward to one full-day field trip.

SCIENCE CLUB AGE: 6 - 7

Let your child discover and explore the magic of science. The program is composed of Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Anatomy, and Astronomy. In addition to in-lab experiments, learn how to manipulate plants and animals- or even dissect them.

Full-time campers will also participate in activities such as arts and crafts, games, drama, gym time, singing, and outdoor adventures. During the week, camper’s can look forward to one full-day field trip.

ESL CLUB AGE: 6 - 7

English as a Second Language day camps combine the fun and action of day camps with activities that help campers develop language skills. ESL campers receive extra help with English during the week and take part in arts and crafts, games, drama, singing, and outdoor adventures with English speaking campers. During the week, campers can look forward to one full-day field trip.
