Our professional Summer Acting Training Programs are designed to give promising actors a realistic taste of the business. Whether you are still in high school, studying acting in college or already working in the industry, our goal is to give you the training you need to move closer to your dream.
We now offer two Film & TV Performance and Musical Theater professional training programs: For 16 and over, we offer two sessions of our summer intensive training programs with optional student housing. We also offer a day program designed for local NYC students ages 14-15. Courses meet M-F from 9 am to 6 pm. Class size is limited to maximize individual time and attention.
SUMMER FILM & TV PERFORMANCE PROGRAM
We’ve been teaching on-camera technique for a long time, and we know how important it is for actors to face the camera without fear. It doesn’t matter if you’re in high school or college or if you’re already a working professional—we’ll teach you about the skills you need to compete for work, whether that’s auditioning for broadway, TV, high school play or college.
This rigorous four-week program includes training for both screen and stage. Students are assigned classes based on their experience level and are taught by a dedicated, professional faculty of working actors and directors. In these short—but unforgettable—weeks, you’ll get real-world insights directly from NYC agents, casting directors, managers, directors and actors—while earning up to six transferable college credits in the process.
SUMMER MUSICAL THEATER PROGRAM
There’s nothing like singing and dancing your heart out in front of a live audience. It’s what many of us fell in love with in high school. We’ll foster that love of performing and introduce you to the skills you need to back it up. You’ll learn the discipline and craft it takes to be an actor who sings and dances, but most importantly, we want to teach you the tools, skills and craft that will help make you an actor who works.
Our musical theater four-week intensive is designed to train students in the three components of musical theater performance: voice, dance and acting. With an emphasis on preparing the musical theater audition, coursework is designed to challenge students at all levels.
