Campers will have the choice to ride one or two times daily. One ride will be in traditional lesson form and the other may be in the form of a trail ride, a mounted game, pattern ride, bareback ride, or drill team introduction. Campers will also have the opportunity to participate in a fun show at the end of the Summer.
Campers will enjoy many other horse-related activities including:
· Unmounted Horsemanship Skills
· Horse Science
· Arts and Crafts
· Water Activities
Stable management will also be taught using a hands-on approach. Campers will learn what it is like to own and care for a horse on a daily basis.
Campers will be introduced to the many aspects of horse care and handling. They will learn how to handle and care for horses and tack in a safe and proper manner.
Our creative summer equestrian riding camp program provides extensive riding and lesson time for children ages 6-16.
Other activities may include a visit with the vet or the farrier. Notification will be given prior to the start of the session of all planned activities and a permission slip will need to be completed.
All campers will be invited back at the end of the summer to our camp picnic and horse show.
