Our program is focused on teaching historical arts connected to the martial culture of Europe in the time of the 18th and 19th century. We teach history and real world skills related to the time of pirates and privateers.

Camp days 1-5 take place at our facility in West Portland. Day 6 takes place at the Port of Washougal where Academia Duellatoria will be appearing with the crew of Portland Pirate Festival and the tall ships Lady Washington and Hawaiian Chieftain will be in port. Day 6 kids will spend 3 hours sailing on a historic replica tall ship learning about ship life and sailing skills from the crew. They will then be able to show the skills they learned and intereact with pirate reenactors on shore.
