This is a basic camp listing: no contact information is provided.

The daily schedule will include a long morning riding session on your assigned horse.  We have 17 school horses that range in size, color and ability.  This allows us to pair each camper with a horse that matches their needs.

Each day we will work on different aspects of riding to secure a better balanced seat for the rider.  There will also be theory sessions which will be held in the barn or in the lounge midday.  Theory sessions include bathing, braiding, clipping, identifying parts of the horse, scavenger hunts, and other learning opportunities.

Camps are divided into 5 beginner and 5 novice riders in each camp.

Beginner Campers will learn the basics of riding and horsemanship.

Novice Campers, depending on their skill level, will concentrate on their form, cantering and the basics of jumping.  Novice riders with more experience will be working on their form over bigger fences.

The Camp Director and main instructor is Cammie Fielding.  Cammie is Certified Instructor with the American Riding Instructors Association (ARIA) and is also certified in CPR.

There are two assistant instructors, Becca and Kim, who have been with Cammie for over ten years.  They are certified in CPR and life saving skills, and are well skilled in riding instruction and horse management.  Becca and Kim are also active in 4-H and showing horses.  Assisting Cammie with the campers gives them a chance to combine their love for horses and children. Each camper gets a generous amount of personal attention with a 3 to 10 Instructor/Camper ratio.

Camp Sessions begin at 8:30 AM and end at 1 PM.  Campers should bring their lunch every day except Friday.  On Friday, a pizza lunch will be provided. The cost for each week long session is $300.

There is an “After Camp” optional session Monday through Thursday from 1 PM to 5 PM.  Campers can stay for a single day, or for multiple days.  After Camp has a second theory session and another riding session.  The afternoon ride is generally more laid back and consists of bareback riding, trail riding and riding games.  After Camp is $50 per day.
