Quaker Lake Camp

Quaker Lake Camp is located southeast of Greensboro in Climax, NC.  A beautiful lake sits on 212 acres of natural property.  This rustic setting provides a wonderful place to reconnect with nature and learn a sense of community through Christian fellowship.  We offer day camp for 5 & 6 year olds and one week residential sessions for ages 7 to 17.  Our staff consists of creative, spiritual and energetic leaders who are carefully selected and trained for each individual position.

Programs offered include an Alpine climbing tower, mountain biking, fly-fishing, canoeing, kayaking, crafts, music, swimming and water sports, basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, scrap booking, pottery, little theatre, frisbee golf, ping pong, pine cars, Bible study, cabin devotions, cookout and campout nights, many special games and a closing campfire worship service.  We offer off site adventures including backpacking and canoe camping.  Through every activity our goal is to build self confidence and challenge each camper in a non-competitive environment.

Quaker Lake Camp is owned and operated by North Carolina Yearly Meeting of Friends with an overall objective for each camper to experience growth of the total person within the context of the Christian Faith as expressed by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).  A summer of fun, fellowship and new friends, awaits each and everyone at Quaker Lake!
