Rockin Summer Camp is a fun and exciting music day camp for boys and girls ages 10-17 who love Rock and Roll.

Enrolling guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboardists, and singers who want the chance to Rehearse, Record, and Perform their favorite rock songs, or original songs, in a real studio under the guidance of professional musicians.

Campers are involved in all aspects of being in a band from coming up with band names and creating press kits to rehearsing songs with band-mates and creating set lists for Saturday’s free performance which is held at a well know venue with a great stage and full sound and lighting systems. Rehearsing songs as groups and working together towards a common goal is stressed and is an important part of the camp.

Aside from rehearsing songs in fully equipped air-conditioned rehearsal rooms, each camp records a full multi tracked CD in the studio. Every band is given the opportunity to spend time in the studio with a professional engineer and record the way a real band would.  Campers are also instructed on the process of recording including such topics as getting a good sound with proper microphone placement, as well as mixing and mastering the tracks.  The final CD is mailed along with the DVD of Saturday night’s performance.

Besides rehearsing, recording, and performing music there are also workshops on the music business and music history where kids will not only learn about the roots of rock and roll but also what it takes to succeed in the music industry. Additionally there are clinics on songwriting and setting up sound systems. There are even camps specifically geared towards songwriting and jazz/blues music.

Although it is a lot of work, there is still time for other fun activities such as music trivia games, Friday’s BBQ with karaoke, and live performances from guests artist. By the end of the week students will gain a better understanding of what it takes to be in a band and the dedication, hard work, and practice that goes along with it.  It’s our goal that at the end of the week campers not only leave as better musicians but also with great memories and friendships they’ll treasure for years to come.

“I just wanted to let you know that both Dylan and Rebecca have not stopped raving about your "Rockin Summer Camp". When they get in the car to come home, they go on and on about what they've done/learned and they always look forward to the next day's activities…….
Again, I can't thank you enough for giving Dylan and Rebecca this wonderful opportunity to experience one of their dreams. They have both enjoyed this so much and have expressed an interest in doing this again next year”

Dear Dave, Dan, Evan, Doug and Max,
“ A very warm heart felt thank-you for all the TIME, PATIENCE, and Love you put into teaching the children during their week at camp. Their performance was absolute proof of your dedication and commitment to the children. THEY ROCKED !

You greatly succeeded in your goals. The BIG Smiles on there faces spoke volumes. The children had an experience of a lifetime and will have great memories that they will hold dear to there hearts. We thank-you again for making such a positive impact in Michael's ten year old world. Continued success!”

“On behalf of Jack and my wife, I want to thank you for the experience of last week. The entire week was a great experience for Jack - from the History of Rock to the big blowout on Saturday. I think that you, Dan and the others did a great job with the kids. Jack was reading the "Music Biz" book that you gave out over the weekend. Jack has played a couple of open mics acoustically but I hope that this spurs him on to a more collaborative, group experience. He is definitely bitten with the bug and rush of playing and creating music and thinking about Music as a major in college. I know it's a tough road but hopefully he has seen a couple of avenues outside of the "big hit single" approach via you, Dan, your colleagues, and Max.”    Thanks,

“Ben loved the camp and we hope to send him again, next summer's schedule permitting.” Best regards

And just so you know, spending a week at your camp was the highlight of her summer. She has great memories and she made a lot of friends and they all still talk to each other. Meghan tells everyone how much she loved Rockin Summer Camp and how nice you all were. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience. You're the best!!!"
