Crews are co-ed and grouped by age and grade on each boat. We sail in fleets so you'll enjoy the camaraderie of your crew plus the social opportunities created by the larger group. In addition to your environmental service and marine biology activities, you'll learn to sail your 47' boat with your crew, participate in watersports such as waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing and stand up paddleboarding , try scuba diving or get scuba certified, while also enjoying beach activities and exploring the islands.
Ecological & Environmental Service 15-30 hours
Through hands-on research and service work, you'll help restore and protect beaches, wetlands, marine and land habitats, working with local youth groups. Together, your participation will have a lasting effect on preserving the land, and in turn, the livelihood of the people who inhabit these beautiful islands. Students on all programs will have the opportunity to take part in various international initiatives that SC is proud to be in support of. These environmental projects allow you to monitor the health of the many diverse ecosystems present in the BVI, and contribute to scientific research around the globe.
