Activities will include learning about all aspects of owning a horse as well as horse themed crafts and games. Each camp (with the exception of the Trail Riding Camp and Show Camp) will have a show on the last day of camp for the parents.

2012 Summer Day Camps Offered:

Horse Crazy - Have a horse crazy child? This camp is a great way to introduce your child to the world of horses. Our first day will be spent learning safety around horses, grooming, and how to prepare our horses for a ride. Your child will learn how to work confidently and safely with their horse on the ground the first day working towards a short ride at the end of the day. The rest of the week will be filled with riding lessons on horseback learning to walk, steer, and stop their horse and ground lessons teaching your child proper horse care.
English and Western Riding Camp - These camps are intended for beginners who have already completed the All About Horses camp up to students who are working on trotting/cantering. This week your child will continue to build confidence steering their horse while walking, trotting, and cantering. Riders will work on riding both in and out of the arena.
Trail Riding Camp - For the western riders who have prior experience on horseback and are confidently steering their horse at a walk/trot. Campers will work on leading their horse through obstacles both in and out of the arena leading up to a group trail ride off the property on Friday.
Jumping Camp - For the English riders who are confidently walking/trotting/cantering and want to start jumping or have already begun jumping. We will work on finding your distance to a jump, counting strides, jumping courses, and jumping outside of the arena.
Show Camp - For the English and/or Western rider who wants to show. Riders must be confident walking and trotting their horses. Learn all about the world of showing and attend a show with us after camp.
