We are getting "geared up" and excited about the summer training. As you already know, this program is unlike any other where we train the whole athlete as it relates to volleyball competition. Like any sport, great athletes have great body control but unlike other sports volleyball athletes must learn skills that range from sprawling on the floor to leaping over the height of the net. We'll spend time training and conditioning the body in jump training, strength, and speed and agility.
Most of our time will be spent in training volleyball skills as well as team strategy. We'll cover the fundamental skills of the sport but we'll go far beyond what other camps do by teaching team systems and strategy to be successful. In addition to the physical training our athletes will also have training in the "mental" aspects of competition. What does it take "mentally" prepare and compete and do so with good sportsmanship and integrity? We'll introduce ideas and concepts to challenge the athlete and help them grow in their understanding of competition and ability to do so under pressure.
