Albany Academies Summer Programs 2016

Little Leapers:  Weekly June 20-August 19, $300/week

Entering Grades Pre-K-1

Little Leapers provides a creative, nurturing and enriching environment. Weekly activities are theme-based and will include literature, math, science, Spanish, art, music and swimming. 


Classic Day/Adventures in Sports: Weekly June 20-24 and August 8-19, $275/week

Entering Grades 2-8-Classic, Grades 4-8 Sports

Classic Day offers a variety of educational and recreational activities.  Campers will be grouped by grade and spend the day rotating through arts and crafts, sports, science and team building.


LEAP: Two week sessions June 27-August 5, $625/session

Entering Grades 2-8

Students choose and participate in five classes of their interest.  Choices include areas of academics, visual arts, performing arts, sports, technology and adventure. 


Leaps & Bounds Adventure Camp:  Weekly June 27-July 8, $400/week

Entering Grades 7-9

Each week will take you on at least one water adventure, hike and climb. 


Adventures in Photography: Weekly July 11-22, $300/week

Entering Grades 7-10

Students will travel locally finding the perfect shot and learn useful post photo-shoot manipulations of their photographs.


Musical Theater: High School Musical, Jr. -Two week session August 8-19, $600

Entering Grades 4-9

Lead by experienced actors, directors and technicians, this fast-paced rehearsal process will culminate with performances High School Musical, Jr.


NEW! Leadership & Life Skills: Two week session July 25-August 5, $400

Entering Grades 9-10

Group dynamics, team building, problem solving, life skills and community service projects with Ronald McDonald House are at the core of this program.  


New!  Middle School Science Academy: Two week session July 25-August 5, $625

Entering Grades 5-8

Campers will learn the basics of design as they work to construct and program VEX-style robots in order to complete a series of challenges. We will take advantage of 3-D modeling to design custom robot parts and accessories. We will then print your designs on our large 3-D printer.


Outdoor Evening Volleyball: Tues., Wed., and Thurs. 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. July 12-August 4, $200

Entering Grades 6-12


Drivers Education: Daily-June 27- July 19, $475
