This year from June 28th thru August 1st The Gow School Summer Program (GSSP) combines 5 weeks of learning with fun! GSSP offers classes for students, ages 8-16, who have experienced academic difficulties or have diagnosed specific learning disabilities, but possess the potential to excel. Summer program participants can be day students or live on campus while enjoying a full schedule that balances academic remediation with recreational activities.
GSSP is a balanced blend of morning academics, afternoon and evening traditional activities and weekend trips. In past year students have gone white water rafting, backpacking, rock climbing and visiting the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of fame. There is a focus on the visual and fine arts and an extensive sports program.
The summer school faculty and camp staff are committed to the creation of a positive and enjoyable experience for each participant. The primary focus of the program is to provide an environment for academic success while incorporating traditional camp activities.
