Now in third second year, we are excited to add a brand new Day camp this summer to our Denison offerings. Modeled after the successful College of Wooster tennis camp, the camp at Denison University camp boasts an impressive lineup of offerings under the guidance of Dennison University Mens' Coach David Schilling and Women's Coach Jamie Scott.Our new Day camp offering in June is a 5-day camp for all skill levels. Running from 9 am – 4 pm daily, the camp will tailor the teaching to each player's level. Beginners and intermediate-level players will focus on swing fundamentals and stroke production, while more advanced players will enhance the experience with gameplay strategy. The morning is devoted to skill building, while afternoon sessions feature advanced drill work and team match play.At our Traditional Camp, directed by Jamie Scott, participants can anticipate a dynamic daily schedule featuring three tennis sessions. The emphasis is placed on honing essential skills such as swing production, refining technique, and strengthening fundamental aspects of the game. The coaching team leverages cutting-edge tools, including video analysis and personalized private lessons, to facilitate effective learning and skill development.The Match Play Camp allows participants to delve into strategic gameplay and point-building mastery. The morning sessions focus on enhancing singles strategies, while afternoons are dedicated to refining doubles tactics. As the day progresses into the evening, participants are treated to an exciting team match play session, enriched with on-court coaching to tie it all together.In essence, the Denison University tennis camp caters to a diverse range of skill levels and preferences, providing a well-rounded and enriching experience for tennis enthusiasts.
