Science and Tech Camp at The Works
The Works, a hands-on, minds-on museum of science and engineering, offers summer camps that are great for girls and boys ages 5 to 12 who love to explore, discover, design and build. At The Works, campers learn how things work through hands-on projects in many areas of science, technology and engineering. In small classes with caring, knowledgeable teachers, each child is encouraged to explore, imagine, and create. Half day camps can be taken individually or combined for a full day experience. Camp projects include motor-powered cars, bottle rockets, amusement park rides, treasure chests with burglar alarms, tech take apart, doorbells, flashlights, solar ovens, kaleidoscopes, catapults, quiz games, computer guts, tech challenges, houses, cities, bridges, chemistry experiments and robots.
