YMCA Camp Ravencliff is situated on a hillside above the river and features swimming and canoeing in the river, sports, indoor games, arts and crafts, campfire, archery, hiking, and lots of other fun-filled activities. Much of the “magic” of Ravencliff comes from our small camp size, with a maximum of only 80 campers each session. This allows campers and staff to really get to know each other and build a true community.
Our program is largely based on choice. Campers choose from a variety of activities each day such as crafts, sports, nature, hiking, water games and more. They also enjoy free swim time and participate in cabin group or all-camp activities each day. The day starts with a non-denominational chapel service surrounded by redwoods just above the river, and ends with a rousing campfire and then cabin group reflections of the day. Campers also spend one night each week camping out in the backwoods with their cabin group, cooking over the campfire and sleeping under the stars. It truly is an unforgettable experience where campers make friends to last a lifetime. Our Teen Week features a special schedule and special activities designed with the needs and interests of teens in mind.
Campers enjoy all that Ravencliff has to offer, while learning about the YMCA core values of Responsibility, Respect, Caring and Honesty. Most campers return from camp, almost transformed, with a new-found or renewed self-confidence and sense of independence and personal responsibility.
Campers are housed in cabin groups with 7 other same gender, similar age campers, an adult counselor and teen leader (CILT). As space is limited we strongly encourage early registration.
