One of our  awesome camp counselors makes sure that everyone in your group is learning while having fun at the same time!

You spend the entire afternoon being coached in your performing Ensembles by our faculty of UM Frost School of Music professors and other music professionals.

The camp day goes from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. We all go together to the University cafeteria for a hot lunch, followed by a special activity ranging from Karaoke to Camp Talent Shows and Jam Sessions and Faculty Concerts.  If you are from out of town (or live in Miami but want to see what it’s like to go to a sleep away camp) – you can be  part of our Dormitory Program. If you live in Miami-Dade  or Broward County, we have a private bus company available to bring you to camp. If you want to stay after camp, you can sign up for private lessons, or take another class such as Reggae Ensemble, Super Sax Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Jam, Rock Jam, or Mixed Chorus. Each session of our camp ends with our Final Concerts, held in Gusman Concert Hall.

 Testimonials

"Out of all the music camps I have attended, I never saw a camp take a kid as young as seven and teach him to love and enjoy music the way this camp did....My experiences in the Young Musicians' Camp have played a big part in my career choice. Next spring I will apply and audition for the University of Miami School of Music."
