Campbell is a lovely community located in Silicon Valley, California. Even though this city is full of progress, it is not as high-tech as the surrounding cities and has kept a local, quaint feel. Campbell is a great city for kids to play sports and take part in other recreational activities. There is no shortage of things to do in this city, with various winter and summer camps available and a plethora of city parks to explore. Let your little ones play and learn at a summer camp at The City of Campbell Rec Center. There are specially-designed camps for ages 3 to 15. Teeter Totters, for ages 3-4, gives a safe and easy introduction to camp life and has a fenced play yard. Extreme Teens, ages 13-15, have field trips every day. Some of these include bowling, baseball games, amusement parks, and a tech museum. For your most athletic one, there is a sports camp offered for ages 7-12. It is led by Skyhawk Sports and involves swimming, recreation games, and drills.
Explore nature and make new friends at YMCA Camp Campbell, which helps children to find hidden talents, have better health, and expand their knowledge. Camps offered include overnight camp, adventure camp, leadership camp, day camp, and family camps. Family camp is a great way to bond with the family outside of the busy, stressful, day-to-day life we lead. There are cabin accommodations in the redwoods and activities and meals are provided, so you can relax and enjoy the time with the ones you love. Grandparents, single parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc are all welcome. There are also Mother/Daughter, Mother/Son, and Father/Child camps.

Children of all ages can take part in lessons and classes on how to expand their artistic skills or gain new ones. The weekly Clay Time class explores clay construction, finishing techniques, and making a three-dimensional project. Teens Mixed Media is very hands-on and includes tie-dye, leather crafting, mosaics, and paper making. Little Art Explorers, for the youngest, explores color pencils, crayons, pastels, and other mixed medias. At the end, there is fifteen minutes of free time for drawing, playing dress-up, or other games.
