The Chico Area Recreation and Park District (CARD) offer various camp programs that are sure to delight and entertain any child. Choose from dance, arts and crafts, sports, music and drama, fun with Legos and even cooking! The Chico Creek Nature Center, located in the Bidwell Park, has a 1 day nature exploration day camp for children ages 5 to 11. The camp is promotes an awareness of the outside world. Learn about Chico’s animals and environment as you view skeletons of creatures from the ice age, identify plants and insects in the garden, and witness a live leech feeding. Rotating exhibits with various topics like mosquitoes and farming keep learning at the museum fresh and interesting.
Skate and play at Funland, a roller skating rink that offers tons of fun events. Create costumes for the themed skate night on Tuesdays, bring a stroller onto the rink on Saturday mornings, or get the whole family involved on Friday night for fun and games while you skate.
