Chino is a lovely gem located in the suburbs of San Bernardino, California. Beyond being known for its rich history of US agriculture, it has become a great place for families to visit, learn, and play together. With a wealth of kid-friendly attractions such as the Planes of Fame Air Museum, the LOL Kids Club, and the Chino Youth Museum, there is no shortage of excitement. The Planes of Fame Air Museum is one of Chino’s most popular attractions. Children and adults alike will be mesmerized by the collection of 150 historical aircraft - including airplanes that fought in World War II and Vietnam as well as the largest collection of Imperial Japanese aircraft in the world! Get up close and personal with each plane, learning from the museum’s knowledgeable and kid-friendly guides about the mechanical details of the aircrafts, as well as their historical significance. Each of the planes has been meticulously restored, and most of them can still be flown today. See them in action at one of the museum’s many airshows via the event schedule.

If your children are chomping at the bit to burn off extra energy, then you’ll find refuge at the LOL Kids Club. This is any child’s dream with a variety of ball pits waiting to be plunged into, an assortment of indoor tunnels and bridges to be explored, and a giant trampoline for kids to gleefully pop and bop around. Once you and your family have worked up your appetites, everyone is invited to check out the Kids Club Cafe, offering individual and family meal deals of kid-friendly cuisine, including organic PB & J, nachos, and macaroni and cheese.

Finally, nurture your own inner-child at the Chino Youth Museum, where your family can dive into various fun and artistic endeavors while learning all about the past and present of the city of Chino. The museum offers an endless array of projects to keep you and your child engaged, including edible art projects, water play games, and hands-on guided tours of the museum. Your family can even enjoy a night on the town here, at the museum’s Kids Night Out, where parents and kids can work on art projects together and make their own dinner right in the museum!
