Saratoga is a well-known and affluent suburb with a small-town charm. It sits beside the Santa Cruz mountains, in the Bay Area, which affords the city mild weather and makes it a great place for hiking and taking in nature. The city is also known for its stellar art programs and arts center, which are available to residents and visitors alike. Give your kids the very best education with camps through the City of Saratoga Youth Programs, which are offered for children ages 5-17. Dance classes with Miss Terry help build confidence and are full of fun and movement! There is ballet; pointe, boys tap, and hip hop jazz classes offered throughout the winter and summer. Karate classes help train students in blocks, kicks, punches, self-defense, and sparring. Ages 4-7 can take a karate self-defense class and learn how to fend off an attacker. There are a beginner and advanced karate fitness class for learning mental focus, coordination, and gaining different belts.

See some exciting entertainment at Montalvo Arts Center. Not only does this center have top-shelf performances, but it also offers camps and classes in the arts to students of all ages. Programs are taught by instructors and artists from the Bay Area. Classes vary throughout the year, but currently there are hand-built ceramics and storytelling through the lens classes coming up. These classes are for ages 13 and up. Summer camps run in the morning and afternoon and cover different art and science topics. Students must bring a lunch and snack.

Get the most out of the summer weather by signing your child up for Saratoga Springs Day Camp, run out of Saratoga Springs, a picturesque picnic grounds and event venue. Kids will get to have fun in the sun through hiking, swimming, and of course, making new friends. There will be songs on the guitar, games, camp volleyball matches, and lots of support from camp counselors. Camps run from June until August. Kids will get a camp t-shirt and if you sign up early and pay in full, a free hat. Last year, the camps were full to capacity, so book early!
