Let your imagination soar at Temecula Public Library. The kids library within is colorful, lively, and is well-suited to develop young minds. Puppets and puzzles are there to stretch and challenge the imagination, as well as tandem rockers so mom and dad can read with the little ones. The Play and Learn Island™, a digital learning space, is offered on computers too. A large hot air balloon in the middle of the library is where story time is held for all ages. Let your child wander through the book collections of picture books, magazines, non-fiction, and Spanish language books and find something they love. At the end of the day, relax by the outdoor children's garden with colorful tile murals and bubbling water features.
Let kids get lost in Professor’s Phineas wild imagination at Pennypickle's Workshop: Temecula Children's Museum. In the library, a fireplace leads to a secret, black-lit maze and in the bedroom; children can become a human kaleidoscope. Through these adventures, you’ll see demonstrations of time, perception, vibrations, electricity, and chemistry. During the holidays, Santa comes to visit and there is real snow for kids to play in! There's also cookie decorating and a polar express for kids who join the Kids Only Club, which hosts special events.
Enter the calming studio at Painted Earth, an intimate pottery and art studio that teaches classes and helps ignite your child's inner artist. Reservations and experience are not needed! Kid’s classes are between 20-30 dollars and they get to make crafty keepsakes like a painting of an astronaut in space, a winter buddy mug, a spider web bowl, a turkey handprint, and even "Jack Skellington". Art programs for kids are also run in November, February, and April. Self-portraits are taught in the fall, water lilies in the style of Monet in winter, and "Starry Night" glass fusing in spring.
Apply real-world concepts through engineering projects such as bridges, motorized cars, & battletrack!
