Unlock a love of science in your child at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Check out Space Odyssey, where kids can gets their hands dirty in red sand at an exhibit showing how scientists look for signs of water on Mars. Engage in activities uncovering the mysteries of the human body at Expedition Health. Interactive activities allow kids to become their own test subject while they see their heart rates rise, plan a meal, or measure their wingspan.

Rustle up a good time at Red Rocks Amphitheater and Park. Take in the splendor of nature when you hike through this classic venue marked with stunning red stone, beautiful views of the city, and shaded trails meandering into the mountains. Shift into high-gear fun and go mountain biking on any of the marked trails. Be sure to visit the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater beloved by rock-and-roll artists around the world and open to the public during the days. Stand on the iconic stage and imagine life as amusicstar, or burn off excess energy running to the top of the stadium's stone steps.

Wander with your little ones among hundreds of flying butterflies at the Butterfly Pavilion. Walk into a specially acclimatized room with the feel of a rainforest as you stroll under giant blooming plants and watch the brilliant insects feed. Stare in wonder as a butterfly emerges from chrysalis at a window packed with tiny cocoons. Take a trip to the marine science room to touch a horseshoe crab and unearth mollusks. Then venture into theinsect roomand dare to hold a live tarantula or come eye-to-eye with cages of hissing cockroaches. The museum also offers a large play place where children will tucker themselves out.
