You will observe the evidence of historical events and legends here. Go for a tour with a Beefeater as they hold dark secrets and tall tales. You’ll learn that the tower is said to be hunted by the ghost of Anne Boleyn walking the chapel of St Peter and Vincula. Don’t forget to meet the royal beasts!
View all the art that your heart desires at the National Gallery including western European paintings from the 13th to the 19th centuries, such as Van Gogh, Da Vinci, Botticello, Constable, Renoir and Titan. Into theatre? Check out Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, a restoration of his original 16th century open-air playhouse where he directed his prestigious plays.
Westminster Abbey serves as a coronation church and holds the tombs of seventeen monarchs, both British and English.
