Indianapolis is home to unique, exciting activities like the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, Go Ape! Treetop Adventure Course, and a play café called Urban Chalkboard.

Play all day at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis, the biggest children's museum in the world. This spot offers tons of exhibits and interactive fun to keep your kids busy for hours on end. Step back in time to the Cretaceous period to walk with the creatures of the past, dig for fossils, and create your own dinosaur. Children can become an actor on the set of a film, try out special effects on a green screen, and make a quick cartoon. Travel to China to learn about what it's like to live there today, become a master calligrapher, and save the Panda bears. With plenty of interactive exhibits to offer, kids of all interests and ages will be enchanted by the museum.

Daring kids 10 and up can get their thrills at a Go Ape! Treetop Adventure Course. Harness up and prepare to experience the forest from above. Children will climb up ropes and ladders, navigate through obstacles, speed down a zip line, and swing from ropes Tarzan-style. Complete the course with your family to enjoy the outdoors and get an exhilarating and fun workout.

At the Urban Chalkboard, both parents and children can enjoy their interests while spending time together. While parents sip coffee, kids and tots play with toys and participate in activities that develop motor and balance skills. Little ones can color on the walls, build something new with blocks, and explore tents and teepees. A well-stocked library entices young readers and parents alike with books for all ages and reading levels. The play café offers kid-sized bites of healthy food to introduce new flavors, as well as classes and activities like crafts and story time to enhance their minds.
