You can settle on Mt. Kisco as the place to send your kids to camp this year. With a variety ofkid-focused activitiesthat will expose them to the arts, nature, and historic sites, they can learn and grow while having fun. Take everyone to the Lasdon Park and Arboretum during the warmer months, where the family can visit the park’s Veteran’s museum with artifacts and displays, the Chinese Garden with a pavilion and a garden surrounding a pond, or the Lilac Walk with over 90 species of lilacs. Search through our online directory to find the best camps in Mt. Kiscothat will give your kids a summer they will remember.

Sign your kids up for camp at the Muscoot Farm, which offers camps during the winter months. Your kids will be able to play theater games and rehearse in the Winter Theater Camp. The Naturalist Camp: Winter on the Farm will keep your kids warm while they play winter games. Muscoot Farm also offers youth workshops and fall naturalist programs with interesting themes for grades 3 through 9. Kisco means “a muddy place”, and the farm’s Foraging and Nature Art program stimulates the children’s senses as they explore forests and wet areas on the farm. In Primitive Ranged Tools: Archery and Atlatl your kids will learn more about bows and archery, and they get to make their own bows to take home.

Summer camp programsare available at the John Jay Homestead State Historic Sitewhich offers History Adventure Days – American Revolution, a camp with games for the kids and special guests that the kids can interact with. During History Travel Camp – American Icons: The Gilded age, camp counselors take the kids to visit historic sites and museums and they learn about icons from the gilded age. The historic site also offers a Winter Break Mini Camp, and self-guided tours of 7 beautifully landscaped gardens.

The Lasdon Park and Arboretum celebrates the holidays with “Holidays on the Hills”, afamily friendly attractionwhere visitors view the holiday decorations at the historic main house, and drink hot chocolate and coffee in the garden. Stepping Stones, the Historic Home of Bill and Lois Wilson, hosts an annual picnic in June for the general public and guests can also view the historic home on that day. Take your kids to Kidville for a fun time attending classes that will keep them active and keep their minds stimulated.
