Program Types

Seek Girl™: Seek Girl™ is our way to warmly welcome and encourage girls in a supportive, all-girl skateboarding world within the friendly confines of a co-ed camp. Every session we offer optional all-girl activities and all-girl skate clinics that female campers can participate in if they choose.

GROMS™ |Campers Age 9-12: The word “grom” or “grommet” typically refers to a young skateboarder under the age of 13 who has more energy than thought possible and wants nothing more than to skate all day long. That's why we've developed a program just for these kids that caters to their needs.

CHECK IN/CHECK OUT INFORMATION

ARRIVAL DAY: Please arrive no earlier than 12:00pm noon on the first day of camp (no SuperVision™ is available before 12pm on Arrival Day).

DEPARTURE DAY: Please pick up your camper no later than 12:00pm on the last day of camp (no SuperVision™ is available after 12pm on Departure Day).

FLYING TO CAMP

DEPARTURE DAY: All flights must depart from PDX between 8am and 4pm on the last day of camp. Departing campers will check in and pick up their boarding passes at PDX.

Shuttles to and from camp are included in the camp cost. We run shuttles from the Portland, OR International Airport (PDX) from 8am-4pm PST on arrival and departure day. Please book all flights to land and depart within the 8am-4pm window. Any flights that are not in this time frame will be charged $100-$175 per camper, per trip, depending on the time of the flight. There is a 30 minute grace period for flights that fall within 30 minutes of 8am-4pm and you will not be charged anything extra. **If you cannot book a flight within the travel window, please contact the office immediately to discuss your travel options and any associated fees.

UNACCOMPANIED MINORS
Each airline has different age requirements and additional fees for flying unaccompanied minors. Campers flying under the status of an UM will be met at their gate by a staff member upon their arrival at PDX. For their departure a staff member will help them get checked in and wait with them at their gate until they are on their way.

NAME OF PERSON PICKING UP UM’S AT PDX
When traveling as a UM, most airlines require additional information about the person meeting your UM. If at all possible, when the airline asks for the name of the person picking up your UM, please give the airline “A We are Camp Representative” and our phone number 503.206.8520. If they will not accept this, please give them “Hannah Bellenbaum” (our airport manager) in place. One week before the start of your session our office will email you with the exact name of who will be meeting your child at the gate. After providing you with this information, it’s crucial that you update the information for the airline. If they need an address, it is: 59550 E US 26, Sandy OR 97055

Activities

We know it’s skateboard camp, but half the fun is off the board!

After taking daily skate trips to the best skateparks in the Pacific Northwest, head back to campus to recharge your batteries, grab a Grizzly Grilled Cheese™ or an Otter Pop and get the party going again. There’s plenty of awesome activities going on every afternoon and evening that you can choose from while hanging out with your friends, guest pros, coaches, and counselors.

The mission of Seek NW Skate Camp (formerly Windells) is to provide a fun, safe learning environment for all campers to unleash their full potential, regardless of age, gender, race, or ability. We aim to create a place where campers can feel comfortable being who they are, while also doing what they love. We operate on the 28-acre Wy’east Mountain Academy campus, which is located at the base of Mt. Hood, just 45 minutes east of Portland, OR. Our private campus allows campers the freedom to enjoy the activities of their choice with 24-hour supervision. Campers are required to wear helmets while participating in skateboarding, snowboarding, skiing, and biking. All youth camp programs are alcohol-, drug-, tobacco-, and violence-free.

"WE CAN DO IT BETTER"

That is our founding philosophy: We can do it better. Better than we did last summer, better than we did today, and better than the rest. We are always improving and always striving to make it a better experience for all our campers: boys and girls, kids and adults, and those new to skateboarding all the way up to those working hard for that next video part or podium at the X Games.

We pour our hearts into Seek NW Skateboard Camp each summer because we love skateboarding. It's not just the act of skating we love, but also the experiences we have, the people we meet, and most importantly, the lives skateboarding changes. For that reason our mission is:

"LIFE IMPROVEMENT THROUGH SKATEBOARDING"

We are always seeking a good spot to skate with good people, so we hope you’ll come to find your new spot with us to learn something new, to have some life-changing fun, and to meet some new folks from around the globe who share your passion for skateboarding. See you soon!

Seek Northwest Skateboard Camps has its own cancellation policy that can be found on our website.
