Enhance your individual and team play skills at this upscale athletic club located just north of Detroit, MI in summer 2024. Coach Keith Byrd and his staff will focus on fundamental values and techniques to help you reach your basketball goals. He has over 10 years of College Basketball experience as both a Head Coach and Division I Assistant.
The Complete Skills Camp helps players of all abilities develop athletically, refine fundamental basketball skills and enhance their skill set at the post, wing or guard position.

Camp Director Keith Byrd
MVP Hoops Club (https://mvphoopsclub.com) + Coach Byrd, looks to elevate your game to the next level through a unique blend of offensive basketball training, competition, defensive intensity drills and developing the necessary knowledge of the game of basketball at Nike Basketball Camps throughout the year. Byrd joined the men’s basketball staff at American University during the summer of 2023 and serves as the Chief of Staff. For more than 20 years he has served as a basketball coach for players of all ages. He has been successful in coaching players who have been named College All-Americans, All-Academic All-Americans recipients. During the 2018 season Coach Byrd coached the National Junior College Player of the Year, who would later move on and play professionally.

Check-in: Monday at 8:30am
Closing Ceremony: Friday at 11:30am
Meals: Lunch is not provided. Please bring a packed a lunch.

BASKETBALLS
Nike Versa Tack Basketballs can be purchased during registration for $30. Players can choose between a size 6 (28.5", standard girls) or size 7 (29.5", standard boys) ball, which will be passed out on the last day of camp. Please note that it is not required to bring a basketball to camp as they are provided by the staff for camp instruction.

PACKING LIST
Below is a suggested list of clothes, equipment, and personal items. US Sports Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen articles or money.

CAMPER EVALUATION
Upon arrival, all participants are evaluated by the staff so that their own instructional needs can be addressed throughout the week. In addition, campers will be evaluated and then split up into smaller groups according to age and ability.
MEDICAL PROTOCOL
Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.

TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided by the camp to or from any airports. If you are flying to or from camp, we recommend using an airport shuttle service. Please schedule flights as close as you can to the check-in times on the first day and check-out times on the last day.

Franklin Athletic Club is a state of the art health and wellness club in Southfield, MI. Campers will utilize the club's gymnasium that houses 2 basketball courts and 12 hoops.
