Cara Bailey Studios Art Summer Camps

This is a basic camp listing: no contact information is provided.

Campers will complete a variety of fine art projects during the week while working in Cara's own studio!  Classes are held at 144 North Main Street, Mooresville, NC 28115. Look for the red door beside L Squared Boutique.

General Information:

For drop-off and pick-up, park on the street. Driving students should park behind Wells Fargo Bank in public parking.

Cancellations must be made eight days in advance in order to receive a full refund. After this, only half of the class fees can be refunded since supplies will already have been purchased for your student.

Students can bring snacks and drinks to class as long as they are peanut-free.

Students who miss a class due to sickness or other reason MAY be able to make up their missed session during another camp. This is not guaranteed and would only work in the event there is room during another session.

All supplies are included in the price of each session.

Students will take all work home with them at the end of each session.

Payment should be made at the time of registration. Forms of payment accepted: cash, check, Visa, MasterCard.

Course Descriptions:

Drawing – offered for Middle and High School Students. This course will cover various drawing techniques in a variety of drawing media including pencil, colored pencil, pen, and charcoal. Depending on the session, students will complete some of the following projects: Still Life Drawing, Color Wheel, Zentangle, Perspective Drawing, Self-Portrait, and Text Drawings.

Painting – offered for Upper Elementary, Middle School, and High School Students. This class will cover painting media such as acrylic, watercolor, tempera, and pastels. Students will learn various techniques for using these materials. Students will complete some of the following projects: Color Wheel, Landscape, Self-Portrait, Pet Portrait, and Abstract.

Mixed-Media – offered for Upper Elementary, Middle School, and High School Students. This course will cover techniques with materials such as collage, stencil painting, ink, watercolor, acrylic, and various drawing media. Students will complete some of the following projects depending on which age group they fall in: Zentangle, Text Painting, Stencil Collage, Self-Portrait, Song Lyric Illustration.

Sculpture – offered for Upper Elementary, Middle School, and High School Students. This class will learn about various sculpture techniques such as carving, modeling, molding, and assembling. Students will create some of the following projects: Assemblage Sculpture, Relief Tile, Paper Sculpture, Linear Sculpture, and Object Reproductions.
