Camp Gilboa is a friendly and caring progressive Zionist camp, in Southern California's San Bernardino National Forest. The camp serves children entering grades 4 to 10. Entering 11th graders have a 5-week Israel program, entering 12th graders a Counselor-in-Training program at Camp. Jewish youth from the Western United States join us to experience Jewish culture and kibbutz lifestyle in a vibrant and unforgettable way. Campers work, play, sing, laugh, share and grow together, and return home with friendships, memories and values that last forever.
We offer the campers choice in sports, hiking, arts and crafts, music and drama. The principles of Habonim Dror guide our emphasis on cooperation, sharing and responsibility to the community. On Shabbat, a distinct atmosphere is created by traditional ceremonies and peaceful activities. Our campers return year after year, developing leadership qualities and love of Israel.
