Do you want a meaningful and creative career but don’t know where to start? Learn the basics of stitching and sewing and work in teams to create clothing for a LA fashion brand. Make new friends, gain confidence in your creativity and carve out a direction for a successful future.
Project Fashion introduces students to a wide variety of careers in the fashion industry. It goes beyond just the craft of designing, but also into the business of making a living in fashion. The program is focused on designing and developing different product categories for established brands. Students will discover jobs that they didn’t even know existed such as trend forecaster, technical designer, stylist, product developer, brand manager and more.
Working as a collaborative team, students will stimulate and engage their creativity through developing a product line for an existing company, consistent with its brand profile. There will be a variety of creative hands-on projects in various workshops, developed for different skill levels. The projects incorporate branding, market research, trend forecasting, creative design, mood boards, theme concepts, color palettes, flat sketching, fabrics, trims and details to create a cohesive collection for a specific target consumer and season.

Soak it all in in Southern California with days off campus with local shopping excursions, hip restaurants, and beach days, not to mention Universal Studios. Activities include:

Live at USC
You will live in the University of Southern California’s (USC) dorms to see what it’s like to live on a college campus and enjoy all the perks! In addition to the food provided at USC, you will taste our favorite local spots, catered meals, and food trucks.
