Timber Ridge Camp
While Timber Ridge has built its outstanding reputation on dynamic programming and leadership, our facility is truly in a class of it own. Situated on 200 acres in the beautiful Shenandoah Mountains and surrounded by the rambling rapids of the Cacapon river, our surroundings are perfect for a summer camp. Over the past 50 years, we have strived to make our facility the best in the industry. Every year we build and renovate to keep Timber Ridge looking great. All children sleep in cabins that are fully equipped with bathrooms and showers. Our newest sleeping facility is the “lodge”. This magnificent 5,000 square ft. building can house up to 60 people in 18 different rooms each with private bathrooms and showers. There is a spacious common area, used for lounging and special programming. What truly makes our facility great is all of the incredible activity areas that we have developed. As you can see from the programs listed on this page, there is barely enough time to do everything at our camp. Some highlights include our huge 20,000 sq ft. gym with indoor, full court basketball, circus and an extensive gymnastics center, the Almost Heaven Theatre which also includes rooms for photography, dance, martial arts and physical fitness, our state of the art Skate Park, climbing wall, and a substantial horseback riding area. The Cacapon River is a perfect site for canoeing, tubing and rafting. If that isn’t enough, we have recently added a paved go kart track plus a high ropes course with a zip line.
