I'm 18 soon to be 19 and I've always wanted to go away to a summer camp..I know that I am kind of old to go, but does anyone know of any camps for my age group?

Re: [Tiffanie2003] Age

That's what I'm looking for. I've always wanted to have the traditional summer camp experience, but I'm afraid that I'm to old now. I'm 16, but it's a little late this summer for me to go. I want to go to a traditional summer camp next year, but I'll be 17 years old.

Re: [softballchick] Age

You are not too old for Summer Camp! Our camp, Chastain Mist is an overnight summer camp for girls up to age 19. Our camp is primarily equestrian, and we take campers of all abilities. Some of our girls had never touched a horse before attending our camp. Take a look at our website www.chastainmist.com and read more...we would love to see you this summer!!

Re: [Tiffanie2003] Age

I'm 16 as well, and I've never been to a real summer camp before. I thought that I would have to get a job this summer, but now I think that I might go to camp instead. I'll get loans for university, lol!

Re: [softballchick] Age

If you are looking for a great place to spend your summer or even a few weeks, Julian Krinsky Camps and Programs is the best! http://www.jkcp.com I went there last year and can't wait to go back. I made tons of friends from all over the world. They have everything from cooking to drama, music, magic, photography, videography fashion design - even scuba diving. (Not for me, but my friends thought it was cool.) It's not a"traditional" camp experience but that's why I liked it. You stay in a college dorm and you're treated more like an adult than you would be a traditional summer camp. It's only 20 minutes from Philadelphia so on the weekends we did trips to Philadelphia, New York City and Six Flags Great Adventure. I guarantee you'll have a great time.

Re: [Tiffanie2003] Age

As you can see from most of the replies so far, you are correct; camps are generally designed for younger kids. You might consider becoming a camp counselor. If you like working with children, I'm sure you could find a CIT program that matches your interests.

Good Luck!
