Appel Farm Summer Arts Camp

It is the extraordinary staff at Appel Farm which forms the foundation of our unique and nurturing program. Ninety percent of the staff are over 20 years of age and most hold Bachelors Degrees in the arts or in education. Many have advanced degrees and are arts educators or professional artists. Staff members often return year after year and provide great stability and continuity in the camp community.

Our instructors come from across the United States and around the world, composing a culturally rich community of artists. Most of our instructors are also bunk counselors, which enables our campers to really get to know the staff beyond instructional activities.

Appel Farm selects only individuals who are sensitive to children's needs and who have a deep commitment to supporting and developing each child's creativity.
