Biola Youth Instrumental Music

Summer Music Camp Teachers (July 11-23 and/or August 1-13, 2005)

Job Description:
-These are part-time, temporary positions (up to 25 hours/week), with multiple openings
-Teach 45 min-1 hour classes in Music Theory (aural and written) and/or Music History
-Coaches also needed for Advanced Piano Ensemble and Strings Ensembles
-Includes the possibility of teaching other music classes such as Music Cultures, Jazz Improvisation, Church and Worship Music, and Arranging
-Creative, hands-on teaching approach
-Make lesson plans for each day
-Prepare any handouts or materials needed for class

-Pay is $15-$20/hr

Job Qualifications
-Mature Christian faith, commitment to Christ-centered education
-Bachelor’s degree (or beyond) in music or relevant field
-Proficiency in one major instrument
-Teaching experience and/or music performance experience
-Interest in working with youth ages 10-18
-Flexible schedule
