Camp Merrie-Woode

CAMP MERRIE-WOODE is a rustic, traditional girls camp in western North Carolina.  We are a noncompetitive camp focused on fun, growth and instruction.  The 90 year old camp sits beside a lake, beneath a 1000 ft. rock face.  Activities include archery, arts and crafts, canoeing and kayaking, ceramics, chorus, climbing, dance, drama, backpacking, caving, fly-fishing, nature, photography,  riding, sailing, swimming, tennis, tumbling, weaving, and woodworking. Ten week program (3, 5, 2 week sessions).  Positive attitude, lots of energy and willingness to be a role model to young girls are all essential.  Staff work both as activity instructors and cabin counselors.  Must be at least 19 years of age and have completed one year of undergraduate study.  Salary based on age and experience and includes room and board, laundry.
