Camp Northwood

It is our philosophy that specialists should not only be skilled in their areas of expertise, but should be experienced in teaching techniques which enable them to teach skills in an effective, individualized and enjoyable manner. All of our counselors meet for one week prior to the start of camp to familiarize themselves with the needs of each camper. This process enables us to deal effectively with every child as an individual. An administrative resource staff of 10 supports the Northwood counselor staff. Regular meetings between the cabin counselors and resource specialists are held to review the progress exhibited by each of our campers.
