Camp Staunton Meadows

·        Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate.  

·        Desire and ability to work with children in the outdoors as well as be able to teach or assist in one or more of the following activities: Horseback Riding , Swimming, Tennis, Nature,   Farming, Mountain Biking, Archery, Team Sports, Sailing,  Arts & crafts, Canoeing, Photography, Fly Fishing, Go-Carts, Hiking/Orienteering, Challenge Course, Pottery, Tree Climbing,  Ropes Course  

• Must exhibit good character, integrity, adaptability, enthusiasm, creativity, good work ethic, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
• Participation in staff orientation June 10- June 16 is required for employment. 
• Camp sessions run from June 17- August 18.  We prefer to hire staff who can commit to the entire summer camp season.

Camp Goals:

To educate campers in a creative, nurturing, fun, and experiential way.  To share with them a passion for living, and help them better understand our natural environment and their role in community.  To provide a safe, healthy, and meaningful experience for campers and staff.

General Responsibilities:

• Live in a cabin with co-counselor and 6-12 campers.
• Foster a safe, fun, personally challenging, and nurturing environment for each camper and fellow staff member.
• Teach and/or assist in daily activities. 
• Participate fully in camp life, including meal time, rest/free time, evening activities, and to be prepared to jump in and lend a hand where needed.
