Camp Tamakwa

CAMP TAMAKWA is a co-ed residential summer camp for children aged 7 to 16.  Founded in 1936, Tamakwa is located in beautiful ALGONQUIN PARK, Ontario, Canada.  Tamakwa offers a well-rounded, outdoor recreational program which includes water and land sports, creative arts, theatre, camp crafts and an extensive and well-reputed canoe tripping program.  With over 275 campers, Tamakwa is known as a small camp with a warm and highly spirited family atmosphere.

Our campers and staff are mostly split between the Detroit, Michigan area and the Toronto area.  Tamakwa also has campers from New York, California, Florida, Illinois, Massachussetts, New Jersey as well as a few other states.  We also attract campers and staff from Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, United Kingdom, Turkey and Bermuda.
