Camp Walden

We know that a highly qualified staff is the most important aspect for running a successful camp and that is why we truly value the wonderful men and women that work at Camp Walden.

A Camp Walden staff member is someone who loves working with children and enjoys being part of a team. It is someone who is fun-loving, nurturing, kind and hard-working and yet doesn’t lose sight of safety and responsible leadership. A Walden staff member is a warm, caring, positive and responsible role model, who recognizes the incredible value of the camp experience for campers and staff. It is a person who values and respects differences in children and adults.

Our staff members are college students, educators, coaches, athletes, artists and performers. They come from many different areas and have many different backgrounds but they have a couple of things in common: They love being with children and they have strong work ethics and can step up for a truly challenging yet extremely rewarding experience.

At Walden we have both cabin specialists, that spend the day with their campers and also activity specialists that focus on instruction at specific specialty areas. No matter what the focus, our camping professionals provide the foundation that ensures campers a summer that is active, safe, and loads of fun.
