Job Title: Seasonal Residential Interns

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, varies with type of program; 1 weekend per/month

Dates for position: Immediately to November 17th

Compensation: $200/week, housing, food when groups are in residence

SUMMARY

Implements and supports the CEC’s educational and adventure programs. Essential duties and responsibilities include: participation in CEC training for environmental science and adventure classes for CEC clients and partners; collaboration with CEC program team in creation and implementation of programs and curriculum; rotations of overnight on-call duties; occasional trips to our partner schools in New York City for student/parent orientations and to teach pre and post-trip classes. Interns provide additional support as needed for CEC programs and services.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. We require one year of experience working/researching in a science-related field OR one year of relevant teaching experience. Applicants must have teaching and curriculum planning skills, must be able to work residential days in collaborative setting, and may be required to complete long-term projects independently. Driver's license and own car (preferable (not mandatory).
