Girl Scouts of Mn + WI Lakes and Pines

We offer two unique camping experiences:

Camp Shingobee Timbers ,our resident camp, is nested in an oak and pine forest 5 miles south of Walker, Minnesota.  It features a quite lake, beaver pond, native prairie, archery range, challenge course, craft cabin, amphitheater, tent cabins, tent sites and a modern program center.  Specialized programs include camp for sister, adventure camps, general camping sessions.  Shingobee Timbers can accommodate up to 100 campers and 25 staff members.

Our Girl Scout Canoe Base, located 20 miles north of Ely, Minnesota it is just a short paddle form the Boundary waters Canoe Area Wilderness, this camp offers wilderness canoe trips.  Girls ages 12- 18 come on 3, 5, 7 and 10 day canoe trips.  Participants come from northern Minnesota as well as all over the United States.  Staff live in cabins and tents.  Our canoe base can accommodate 42 girls and 17 staff members.
