Kippewa For Girls

Position Description:Kippewa, located in a beautiful lakeside setting, is a camp of 140 girls and 50 program staff.

 This makes for an intimate setting where warm friendships and caring relationships are key. 

Kippewa welcomes qualified applicants for the Head of Lands Sports for the 2007 season. 

This position oversees, supervises, and coordinates the athletic staff and programs including 

age group athletic periods, some inter-camp competition, Ivy League competition, and development

 & implementation of leagues. The Head of Athletics opens and closes the department including 

inventory reports, purchase requests, and repair logs. Qualifications include: experience supervising, 

directing and organizing an athletic program. The successful athletic head will have the ability to motivate

 campers and organize a variety of athletic activities that offers fun to our campers while furthering skill 

development. Dates for 2007 are about June 15th to August 18th, which includes staff training, a post-camp 

alumna weekend, and our post-camp, clean up. Bachelor degree in education, physical education, recreation 

or sports management is desirable. Very competitive salary includes private quarters, board, and laundry.
